In an effort to give all members the best chance of becoming Champion Golfer of the year we all start with our national handicap.
Thereafter good and bad play alter the handicap for the next outing.
The first 4 places (including ties) are cut by 1st - 4, 2nd - 3, 3rd - 2, 4th - 1.
The last 4 places are done so in reverse, last - +4, 2nd last +3 and so on.
This can lead to some extremes with the best players often on scratch or worse!
